Statement of Faith
1. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death, resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father and His future return to this earth in power and might to rule and reign on the throne of David.
3. In the rapture of the church.
4. The only means of salvation is through the cleansing of sin through repentance and the precious blood of Jesus Christ and confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
5. We believe in baptism by immersion in water.
6. The redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the body, mind, and spirit in response to believing prayer. We believe the 53rd. Chapter of Isaiah holds the key to our redemption, both spiritual and physical.
Isaiah 53:6 says, ". . . the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all." This verse provides for our salvation.
Isaiah 53:4 it says, in the Hebrew, "Surely He hath borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains." This verse provides for healing. Matthew takes this verse from the Old Testament to the new in Matthew 8:17 when he says, "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses. If we can believe that God laid our iniquities on Jesus, and because He laid our iniquities on Him there is salvation for us, then we can also believe what Isaiah tells us that He also laid our sickness and disease on Jesus and because of that healing is for us also because by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
7. In the 9 gifts of the Spirit and the importance of the fruit of the Spirit which empowers the gifts.
8. There is a filling of the Holy Spirit that is available to every Christian. The Holy Spirit has an anointing that produces power and can be received and increased through a yielded life. We believe in the present ministry of the Person of the Holy Spirit who: Indwells all born-again believers, empowers believers for godly living and service, guides and teaches believers in being conformed to the life of Jesus Christ, and imparts supernatural gifts to believers enabling them to do the works of Jesus Christ.
``Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.'' (1Peter 1:10-12)
It is in the same spirit that this publication will go forth to inform you of how current events fit into God's plan of redemption for mankind. Together, we will ``search intently and with the greatest care'', trying to find the approximate time and circumstances of Christ's return. The exact day of the Lord's return is not known, but it is equally true that we are not to be caught unaware and unprepared. We need to be watching for the signs of His return. Informed believers unbelievers (Matt 24:37-39). Although we can't know the exact day, we are accountable to know the season and to recognize the signs of the times. Yes, Jesus is coming quickly, and none shall stand save those who have built their house upon the rock of His salvation.
``And the Spirit and the bride say, `Come' and let him who hears say, `Come' And let him who thirsts come. And whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. He who testifies to these things says, `Surely I am coming quickly.' Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.''
Several years ago I went to hear some intercessors from Sid Roth's ministry who had just returned from the mission field. Following their presentation they gave people the opportunity to come up and be prayed for ``that God would take us to a higher level of anointing to be used in His service". When he asked me what He could pray for on my behalf, I did not tell him, but simply stated that I wanted whatever God had for me. I had never met this man, he did not know me. He knew nothing of my interest in biblical prophecy and current events. He started to pray and then he began to prophesy: ``You are a watchman, you have the ability to see the distant future clearly as We both wait for My return...you are being given the gift of discernment" (This does not mean what I see is always interprested correctly because "for now we see through a glass darkly" (1 Co 13:12) This is exciting indeed, however, with gifting comes responsibility:
``Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: When I bring a the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but the blood I will require at the watchman's hand.....Say to them: As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn from your evil ways! For why should you die...." (Eze 33:1-6,11)
Some of what you read in some of these issues may be upsetting to you, but the Bible clearly warns that ``if the trumpet makes an unclear sound, then who shall prepare himself for battle." (1 Cor 14:8) The warning must be given and it must be clear. For Ezekiel tells us, ``if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but the blood I will require at the watchman's hand".
So let me be clear on a couple of points. God's judgment is clearly coming upon the world, but America is at immediate risk (In fact, Russia might be the instrument that God is preparing that God uses to bring chastisement on this country) and unless the church repents, then that judgment may be immutable. The danger must be reported so we (the church of America) might humble ourselves, pray, repent and seek God's face.
But do not fear. Remember God will keep in perfect peace those whose eyes are fixed on Him. Recognize that God also knows how to deliver His people while reserving the unrepentant for judgment. The newsletter on the Return of th Bear coupled with the three-part series entitled: What in Heaven is Happening to America", is a renewed call to repentance on the part of the Church, before it really is too late.
At the same time, all the Biblical predictions of Christ's second coming are coming together ALL AT THE SAME TIME in our generation. We must be "watching and praying therefore, that we would be counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36). God is returning very very soon. Do not be deceived by the scoffers who say He will not return, but rather pray and ask God to cleanse you from every besetting sin that still remains within you, learn to hear His voice and above all be obedient to His commands.
It is with the Apostle Peter that we say to you:
"Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, `Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.' For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same word, reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; and account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation - as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, since you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen."
"Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36).
