A Letter to the Pastors of the Church of Jesus Christ

Forward by To His Glory Ministries:

There are many born-again, spirit-filled and spirit-led pastors and spiritual leaders entrusted with the care of the flock of God. However, there are others, who started out with a zeal for God, but have not crucified the flesh (hurts, unforgiveness, rejection, etc) and as a result, have given the enemy place in their lives. The enemy exerts pressure through these footholds and strongholds in an attempt to derail the will of God for these pastors and their congregation.

The Pastor has been snared, but the Pastor is not the enemy. So do not yourself fall into the enemies trap of judging your pastor, but rather, pray for them and all the spiritual leaders of your church. Remember, our war is not with flesh and blood, but with the spiritual forces behind the fleshly motivation. When Jesus rebuked Peter and said "Get behind Me Satan", He was not calling Peter, Satan; He was speaking to the spiritual motivating force that influenced Peter to make a statement contrary to the will of God. Too many forget the Lord's admonition to get the plank out of their own eye first, before you gently, in love, attempt to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Do not put yourself in the place of God -- for you are not the righteous judge. Rather pray and intercede for your spiritual leaders as the fervent, effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If you are a Pastor, be led by the Spirit. If you have been hurt in the past, if you have suffered, remember the Lord commands us to forgive and if you refuse to forgive, He will turn you over to the tormentors so you might repent.

Jesus himself said that it is impossible that offenses would not come. So ask the Lord to help you reach the level of Galatians 2:20, for a dead person cannot take offense. When Jesus hung on the cross, although His flesh was so destroyed that He was not even recognizable as a man, he said, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. Can you do any less? Are you willing to be poured out as a drink offering for the sake of the Gospel? Are you willing to give your life for the sheep? How about the "black" sheep that does not measure up to your expectation? Will you leave the 99 to rescue the one?

Jesus tells us in John 13:35, that "by this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." In 1JO 3:14-15, we understand that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. How about that "black sheep" in the congregation that is a "thorn in your side." Can you see him through the eyes of the Lord, the eyes of love and recognize the strongholds in that person's life that need to be torn down by the weapons of our warfare so they can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Can you see his potential? Or has the enemy caught you in a snare of offense? Consider these things written herein and seek the Lord on these matters.

A Letter to the Pastors ofthe Church of Jesus Christ

Dear Friends,

This is a word that I was given today for the leaders of God's Church. Judge it according to the word of God and be lead by the Spirit of God who leads us into all truth! (Ezekiel 34:1-10)

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ' Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds; "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

This is a word that the prophet Ezekiel brought to the shepherds of Israel, when they had turned their backs on the people of God. This word is also for today to Spiritual Israel and her shepherds who have done the same thing. Many, many shepherds have turned to their own needs and their own desires rather than feeding the flock of God. We should remember that those that are in our churches are not our own. We are under shepherds, for the chief shepherd who has commanded that we feed the flock of God. You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what is lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.

This verse speaks to the fact that many shepherds are only going through the motions in their churches. They are saying the right things and by all appearances they are doing the right things. But in truth they are far from God. They run their churches, as dictators without the fear of God. We should shepherd, justly and with compassion, with the awesome fear of the Lord. knowing that we shall be judged for the works that we have done in the body. Do we pray for the sick, do we minister to the broken hearted, being led by the Spirit? Or do we follow our own agendas on Sunday morning or on Saturday Shabbat. Are we going out to the highways and byways to reach those that have been hurt by wicked pastors and by ungodly churches or are we reaching only those that will bring in the most tithe. Do we reach the lost, or do we even care. If the shepherds will not do this the body will not. We are called to lead.

So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beast of the field when they were scattered. My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every huge hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.

Many in the flock of God (the Body of Christ) are being scattered, following every wind of doctrine, because the shepherds are doing what they are supposed to do. We must feed and care for God's flock, with the teaching of the word and with REAL worship, not a show on Sunday morning. God's people are to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. We need to go forth and search out those who have fallen and who have been turned from the way. This is our job as shepherd's to find the lost sheep and to pull them out of the snare and the pit. This part of the scripture which speaks to the sheep wandering on the high mountains speaks to those who are chasing all those "wolves" out there who move them by emotions. God's flock is perishing because of our slothfulness.

Therefore you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. "As I live," says the Lord God, "surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock"- 'Therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feel themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them."

I truly believe that the Lord is about to separate the true shepherds from the Hirelings. Those that are pastors for profit or those that are not truly feeding the sheep shall have their churches taken from them and God shall put another in their place. One that will do what is necessary. We are to make the sheep ready to live the sacrificial life. Like the sheep that were for the sacrifice, as Christians we are to live the sacrificial life and offer ourselves as sacrifices for the world. Remember that in the Gospel of John, Jesus said that we are to be sent to do the same thing that He was sent to do. We are not teaching the people the narrow way of living. Many are teaching a watered down Gospel that is easy to sell, and doesn't provoke anyone to righteousness. This is the word of the Lord and it shall come to pass. In this final hour, we must unite as one church. We pastors must lead the way in this and begin to pray together for our areas. If we can't come together then the God will remove us and put people in our place that will. This is what we as shepherds need to begin to do, come together as one and pray for one another and for our communities. This is the beginning, but it will not be the end. If we will obey God and be the shepherds that we are supposed to be, God's Grace will rain down on us and we shall see a revival. That is promised is Joel, but first their must be a sacred assembly, without it nothing can happen. We must repent and return to God, we must take ownership for the problems in the church and we must be the ones that begin the repairs and that begins with prayer.

This word is for the church of God and remember that the time is short and God is watching. He will replace the wicked shepherds and replace them with good shepherds. Many who are great will fall and many who are unknown shall be exalted. Arise church arise and go into all the world and preach the Good news that Jesus is Lord!

Yours unworthy Servant,

Pastor Scott Bull
