The Road to the Mark of the Beast
As previously reported, Motorola has turned up the power on its 66 (yes, that's 66) GPS satellites in geo-synchronous orbit around the earth. The implanted chip communicates position information with the satellites which is relayed via wireless technology to the internet. Any data collected by the chip such as vital signs, personal transaction history, or whatever other data is contained therein is accessible to the monitoring authorities.
For power, the chip uses induction-based power-recharging, a technique similar to that used to recharge implantable pacemakers which means the chip can be implanted with no battery or other external power source.
The exact timing of commercial availability of the PLD (Personal Location Device) is unclear at this time as further technological refinements and regulatory barriers must be passed.
However, the previously developed Verichip which is about the size of a grain of rice is in production. The implantable Verichip is a radio frequency identification chip that can carry an individual's unique ID number as well as store personal data. In addition, the company recently unveiled a new Bio-Thermo chip implant which can read and transmit a person's temperature and has numerous health-care applications. Other chips are in development which can carry technology that can identify blood pressure, disease, and hormonal levels.
Clearly the technology for the mark of the beast and the infrastructure (internet and satellites) are all ready in place. Although public acceptance is the largest barrier, the barriers are all ready coming down in this age of terrorism. What freedoms will be given up in the face of the next terrorist event. What better way to identify suspicious movements of a populous at large.
REV 13:11-18 "Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
Jesus chastised the religious leaders of the day, the Pharisees and the Sadducees for not discerning the signs of the times (Matthew 16:1-3). In 1st Thessalonians 5:6 we are admonished to not sleep, as others do, but watch and be sober." (1 Th 5:6)
Sadly, this is the state of most of the world and the church in general. Jesus described the conditions in the days just prior to His return: "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of man be." (Matthew 24:38-39)Not only will the general populace be totally unaware of the lateness of the hour, but even those who know the consequences of taking the "mark" will rationalize and fall victim to the plan of the anti-christ.
Those who do refuse to worship the Beast will be killed, but without taking the mark you can not buy or sell inviting starvation without the direct help of God. The inducement to rationalize and take the mark will be powerful, however, the Bible is clear those who take the mark will face eternal damnation.
This will call for patience on the part of the saints of God.REV 14:9-12 "Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, "he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."
The technology and infrastructure is in place and all we need is the unholy trinity to make it appearance, rule the one-world government, and force all to receive the mark.
Incidentally, the World Court was approved and commissioned earlier this year and their next task this summer is to elect a world president. Did you get the full impact of that statement, a WORLD PRESIDENT. Guess whose name is being bantered around in diplomatic circles -- none other than William Jefferson Clinton.
The "Mark of the Beast" is the external sign of an internal commitment to the Beast and his world system. It is the anti-christ seal of ownership. Christians are also sealed:
2CO 1:22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a deposit.
EPH 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
EPH 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
The Jews fore the frontlets or phylacteries (tefillin) on their forehead
or right hand. The Jewish letter Shin was inscribed on them. This letter
, which looks like a "W" was considered the mark of God.
When Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek fame gave his famous hand sign to "live
long and prosper" the hand was in the shape of a Shin ("W"). This was gotten from temple worship where the priest, when he blessed the people, would make this gesture. It is a hand-sign for God. This is why some believe that it is the Shin that marks God's ownership on a Christian's forehead or right hand. It is the true Mark of God and the Mark of the Beast is the false Shin - the counterfeit mark that demands worship of the beast - what Satan wanted from his fall -- to be worshiped as God.
"Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them
as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes." (Deut 11:18)
God knows who are His:
"Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His ." (2 Tim 2:19a)
LUK 21:33-36 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly "For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
``Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man''
