A Divine Appointment?

My wife and I were in Washington, D.C. last week. We both sensed that it was a divine appointment -- as we have been praying and fasting as so many other churches are doing for the USA and the coming elections in response not only to Dutch Sheets call to prayer and Intercession, but in response other Prophets of God who have also been proclaiming that this election is pivotal as to what will happen to the United States and the church.
We did not know that, as the following report indicates, that while we were there, we were potentially, save the grace of God, standing at ground zero.

" Domestic issues aside, the reason for our endorsement of George Bush for President is based solely on the issues of the pressing need for a coherent foreign policy and a renewed commitment to a strong US military. The reason for this endorsement became clear last Friday (Oct 27), when Russia opened the hatches on their ICBM silos in what was clearly a show of pre-launch readiness according to reliable sources. Worse yet, Washington insiders were befuddled and frightened last Friday because there was no apparent reason for the action, other than the missile silo hatches had been left open long enough to be detected during a US spy satellite flyby. Simply put, WWIII could have begun last Friday, and we wouldn’t have known why.

One has to wonder if that is why we could not get tickets to the White House on Saturday, but instead received tickets for Friday. We prayed that God would temper His judgement with His mercy for America on Friday, Oct 27th, at both the White House and at the Pentagon.
How comforting to know that we were at ground zero with the Lord.
Just a quick note on Israel, We are not out of the woods yet, in spite of a so-called cease fire, the fighting is continuing. Israel's enemies are drawing together, Russia is posturing for an active role in the Middle East, and the Ezekiel 38 invasion is still on the radar scope.
I can not tell you if this is the time that this world-changing event will occur, but I can tell you that this is the day of salvation for those who are perishing and that any delay will be God's grace and Mercy so that more might be saved.

Purify yourselves daily by the reading of the Word. Jesus is returning for a Holy and Spotless Church. ``Today is the day of salvation for many who are perishing; their tomorrow shall not see my return in glory to judge the living and the dead. Today is the day of their salvation." Don't delay. Time is short. You have no guarantee that you will even see tomorrow. If you die without receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your eternal destiny is fixed.
As we see the signs of His return drawing close, what manner of holy life should we be living? Remember that Jesus is returning for a Holy and Spotless Bride. Whether His return is today or 10 years from now is irrelevant since eternity is only a heart beat away for any of us. So choose this day whom you will serve, ask the Holy Spirit to search you to see if there be any iniquity in you, and then call upon Jesus your Deliverer. He is faithful for forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unfaithfulness.
"Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36).
