VALUES

We must determine what is of value. To do so, we must now what God values. God’s values are eternal, and the things that make an eternal difference. Our values, to be “God Values” must be non-negotiable convictions. They must be eternal values. Simplified, they are: God, His Word, and people.

Our Values expanded would be:

REACHING THE LOST.  We believe in the eternal value of every soul; so therefore we will do everything possible to reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION.  We Believe in every believer’s spiritual formation as the Holy Spirit steadily develops in us the likeness of Jesus Christ. True transformation will take place naturally as we learn to listen, act upon and apply the Word of God to our daily lives, and we walk in God’s will for our lives.

RESTORATION.  We believe the church is to be a “safe” place where the healing power of Jesus Christ restores broken people to wholeness in spirit, soul and body.

WORSHIP.  We believe the worship of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, should be our highest aim in life. Worship is more than a function in a public gathering, but rather it is a daily lifestyle.

TEACHING.  We believe the catalyst for transformed lives is teaching that is Bible-centered, Holy Spirit led, culturally relevant, creative and balanced.

FAMILY.  We believe that families are the backbone of society, the strength in our lives, gifts from God, and the future or our tomorrows. Building strong families is not simply a “good idea” but the calling of God to the next generation, the extension of the Gospel, and the salvation and survival of future generations.

DISCIPLESHIP.  We believe that disciplined lives yield the most fruit. Intentional and strategic discipleship is the vehicle through which spiritual formation will be accomplished. Loving relationships, accountability, mentoring and living in community are not options for the believer, but are the critical stepping stones to maturation and effectiveness in God’s kingdom.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS.  We believe “every member is a minister,” so therefore we will help every person discover, develop, and deploy their gifts in our “volunteer-driven” fellowship.

COMMUNITY.  We believe that true community and life-change happen best when deeply involved in covenant relationships with others. That no matter what we maintain our relationships, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. Loving relationships are nurtured in an atmosphere of unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness.

EXCELLENCE.  We believe the excellence honors God and inspires and motivates others to do and give their best. Therefore, we strive for excellence in every area of life and ministry. Not for the purpose of gaining God’s approval, but because of His grace, mercy and favor how can we give any less.

LEADERSHIP.  We believe the church should be led by those with leadership gifts, so therefore we will identify and train emerging leaders who will identify and train emerging leaders who will reach the next generation.

TEAM.  We believe that doing “ministry” as a team is God’s design for effectiveness. Every person should know where and how they “fit” in the ministry and function of the body of Christ.

PRESENCE.  We believe that God’s Presence is life-changing, so therefore, we make a priority of the Presence of God. Recognizing that it is His body, His church, His kingdom purposes and His work in which we are involved. Therefore, we need His “PRESENCE” in every sphere of our lives.

KINGDOM REALITY.  We believe in kingdom principles and kingdom rule. That we are part of His kingdom and thereby must recognize His Lordship over His kingdom. We must operate by kingdom principles, kingdom law, and kingdom realities in His Kingdom.

SERVANT-HOOD.  We believe that servant-hood is the benchmark of every Christian. It is the highest goal and greatest privilege of every believer. As Christ came to serve, so must we. Greater responsibility and ministry effectiveness depend on our degree of servant-hood. Leadership rises and falls on our ability to develop the character of a servant. Servant-hood must be the lifestyle of every believer.
