"I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals.

The point of that
article is to show that if the four horseman
have not ridden, they are getting ready to mount and that is
the point -- that events and preparations are continuing toward
fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy. One forth of the population
of the earth is not going to die in 5 seconds. Famine,
pestilence and the like are not instantaneous; look at the
AIDS infection rates, the TB rates, etc. Consider how the
long incubation period of AIDS has thousands upon thousands of
carriers who do not know they are infected and how they are
exponentially infecting others. In the case of TB many do not even know they have it, but
when the population is weakened by the Red Horse (war) and
then the Pale horse (famine), the result will be weakened immune
systems for the survivors -- and then pestilence will truly run

About the GPS Rollover
Since November of last year we have discussed the
coming GPS satellite rollover. The date was August 22,1999.
The GPS rollover was viewed by many
to be an excellent litmus test for the Y2K date change. Te
date has passed and the effects were negligible in the US
and noticeable in Japan. That certainly does not mean it is
time to feel relief regarding the Y2K as we will discuss.
The GPS "rollover" - not to be confused with the
unrelated Y2K date rollover - occurred Saturday night, when
the 10-digit date counters used in tracking GPS satellite
orbits rolled over from 1111111111 to 0000000000.
Hundreds of people in Japan complained Sunday after their
automobile navigation systems went haywire - the result of a
"Y2K-like" glitch in the satellite used in navigation
devices worldwide. Pioneer Corp., a major manufacturer of
car navigation systems, received 600 calls on its help
hotline, according to company spokesman Hidehiko Shimizu.
Early reports indicate that 100,000 of the widely used
GPS-based car navigation systems experienced glitches or
outright failures. But beyond the problems with Japanese
systems, the Coast Guard - which is responsible for handling
civilian GPS applications - noted surprisingly few glitches.
But let us not forget Y2K a very different problem.
According to an article released by Y2KNEWSWIRE.COM
and entitled "Leaked Government Y2K Documents Describe Major
Year 2000 Risk to U.S. Cities; Infrastructure Failures
Deemed 'Probable'." Does not sound too good from the
title, does it? According to the article, the U.S. Navy
documents leaked to Y2K commentator Jim Lord and now made
public sharply contradict information offered by the White
House and other government officials on the Year 2000
problem. No hate intended to certain people but it is easier
now than ever before to believe that the officers in the
White House have not told the citizens the truth. According
to the documents, recently authenticated by Y2K czar John
Koskinen, "total failure is likely" in the key
infrastructure of 44 U.S. cities.

Prophetic Significance:
Revelation 13 and the Mark of the Beast - Something severe
enough to cause nations to lay down their national sovereignty
must occur for a world-wide government to be set up and the
"mark-of-the-beast" program to be initiated. Is Y2K part of
it? Will if be a nuclear exchange in the Middle East that
causes the nations to embrace peace at any cost including
giving up national sovereignty? Perhaps and perhaps not. As
far as what role Y2K will play in prophetic history, we shall
see in less then five months.

A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.5 struck western and central Japan on Saturday, the Meteorological Agency said.
In Turkey in the aftermath of one of the worst earthquakes in history, officials are increasingly fearful that epidemics of cholera and typhoid could break out in the chaos and decay left by Tuesday's massive quake in Turkey.
Recorded deaths have now climbed past 10,000, and the injured number above 45,000. At least 35,000 others could still be trapped under rubble, but experts warn that most could be dead from dehydration.
A strong earthquake measuring 6.7 on the open ended Richter scale rocked the Central American nation of Costa Rica early Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
An earthquake measuring an estimated 5.3 on the Richter scale rattled a rural section of Montana on Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
Four earthquakes hit parts of northwestern and southern Greece on Wednesday. Shortly after midnight, two tremors struck off the coast of the island of Kythira off the Peloponnese Peninsula, 140 miles south of Athens. The magnitude 4.1 quake was followed eight minutes later by a magnitude 4.2 tremor.
According to Reuters News Service, a quake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit the San Francisco area on Tuesday (8/17/99) night but
there were no immediate reports of damage or injury, officials
said. This may have been a warning to repent before judgement, in
accordance with Jude 1:3-8, is measured out.
Earlier this month, on Tuesday, Aug 17,1999, a massive earthquake struck at the heart of
Turkey's most populated cities killing over 3500 people so far and
injuring over 10,000. Tall buildings and homes collapsed. The
National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo. revised
its estimate of the quake's magnitude upward to 7.8, making it
nearly as powerful as the 7.9-magnitude San Francisco quake,
which killed 700 people in 1906.
Over the last couple of weeks there have been diverse and/or strong quakes around the world as predicted by Jesus in Matthew 24. On
Thu Aug 12,1999, a strong earthquake rocked parts of central Indonesia. It was a magnitude 6
earthquake struck centered beneath the Maluku Sea, about 200 miles east of the Central Sulawesi capital
of Palu, said Rasyid, an official of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in Jakarta. On
Wed Aug 11,1999 a series of earthquakes and aftershocks jolted large parts of the Mideast and western
Mediterranean islands, including Iran and Cyprus, where quakes with preliminary magnitudes of 4.2 and
5.8 were reported. Also on Wed Aug 11,1999 a moderate earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2
shook Tokyo and the port city of Yokohama.
Prophetic Significance:
Some day we will experience the mother of all earthquakes:
"This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. ROM 8:20-23 "For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. News To Watch Closely In The Coming Weeks

"We are spending a tremendous amount of time observing these very critical areas below. We will have much more in the coming weeks.
We continue to see things intensifying as we move towards January 1, 2000. Remember, the Lord is keeping these things from breaking loose, but that protection seems to be lifting gradually and could result in significant activity, possibly as early as the first week in September. More specifics to follow.
Y2k remains a concern both nationally and internationally. Nationally the cracks are beginning to be exposed. The public relations "spin" has been implemented masterfully, but will failures start impacting public confidence. Also the Global Positioning System (GPS) will be tested on its August 20-21 rollover. There is also a national power grid test planned for September 8th and 9th.
Also, on September 9th there is still debate on whether the "four nines" 9/9/99 will produce problems. It is also a day of "seven nines," the ninth second; of the ninth minute; of the ninth hour; of the ninth day; of the ninth month; of the ninety-ninth year.
The greatest international Y2k concerns for the U.S. is imported oil (55-60% of daily consumption comes from foreign countries). Also, many of the parts required for just-in-time" manufacturing are imported. Also, the U.S. has an $8 trillion Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which consists of an estimated 12-17% in exports; which could be impacted by non-complaint businesses overseas.
There is a great concern for world financial markets if money starts leaving nations in search of safe havens due to Y2k concerns. This could cripple many economies and produce a "domino effect."
In the Middle East, the Palestinians, the Syrians, the Israelis and the Egyptians want peace. But at what price?
The Hammas, the Hezbollah and the Iraqis have publicly stated they intend to obstruct the Middle East peace efforts. Will the new Middle East peace covenant be the Daniel 9:27 "seven-year" end-time covenant?
A potentially enormous crisis seems to be brewing in the international financial derivatives market. The New York Fed has recently been investigating the "swap spreads" (in the interest rate and currency trading) that are increasing. And there are unsubstantiated rumors (but reliable sources) that one or more of the large hedge funds have been experiencing major losses recently. Swaps are the biggest derivatives trades. It is mostly what the banks trade and they have made large sums of money doing these trades over the last few years. We are aggressively researching this area and will have something out on this in the next two weeks. This could devastate world financial markets. Last years emergency, multi-billion dollar bailout of Long Term Capital Management, was very close to adversely impacting world participants according to Federal Reserve Chairman Allan Greenspan in Congressional Testimony.
Signs in skies. We will have more on the fascinating signs in our skies and what they say. We will be obtaining information from a German Phd., and two U.S. astronomers.
They are all Christians.
There are coming in the next few months; solar flares; sunspots; the Leonid meteor showers; Comet Lee; asteroids and other potential phenomina .
The North Koreans continue to threaten a possible missile test. September 9 has been mentioned.
The Chinese and Taiwan situation intensifies. Will the United States get pulled into this skirmish?
The India and Pakistan situation is very volatile. They both have weapons of mass destruction.
The political and business environment in Russia is in chaos. The economy is controlled by the underworld (an estimated 75% of the economy). Yeltsins new prime minister Putin was the former director of the KGB. The Islamic militants have threatened Putins life.
U.S. Secretary of State William Cohen said recently, it is not if, but when, the United States will experience a biological attack on its shores. He said it is time to prepare.
The U.S. government has made the capture of Osama bin Laden a top priority. In a recent National Press Club speech it was said he has 20 suitcase size nukes. How will he respond to the active pursuit of him by the United States?
There is an increasing concern over international terrorism.
There is an increasing intensity in major earthquakes.
We are experiencing floods or droughts in key crop producing areas around the world.
Solar eclipses in the past have signaled war, devastation and destruction according to spiritual advisors in the Middle East (an Arab), in Israel (a Jew) and an India (an Indian). The August 11th solar eclipse darkened Europe and most of the Middle East for a short time.
These are the main areas that we are watching closely. We believe things could intensify at any moment, with the earliest date likely sometime in early September. But we are studying this very carefully and will report back to you shortly with our findings. What we have observed so far is very compelling.
The greatest risk could come from a biological weapons attack; a Y2k related problem with the national power grid test on September 8th and 9th ; the possibility of September 9, causing problems for computers especially overseas; the possibility of a Middle East war if a peace covenant isnt agreed to, or is agreed to; the potential of an economic crisis, due to risky financial derivatives trading, motivated by concerns over large market fluctuations due to Y2k world wide; and the impact anyone of these could have on the world stock markets.
September 9, 10 and 11 are dates for us to pray about."

If it is not a normal star, galaxy or strange quasar,
astronomers say, the most intriguing possibility is that the
mystery object is announcing the existence of an entirely new
cosmic phenomenon. Several comprehensive sky surveys under
way or just beginning are One surprising discovery was a
starlike light several hundred times For the survey,
astronomers devised computer programs to sift through
published research papers, but found nothing like it. "This
was the first one of something new, and a complete mystery to
us," "The light doesn't vary, doesn't move and doesn't erupt,"

It is not even clear from the spectrum whether the object is
extremely far away or relatively close by. Distances are
estimated by the shift of light to the red end of the
spectrum, a sign of the object's velocity as it recedes from
the observer in the expanding universe.
Prophetic Significance:
A couple of things facinated me about this report. First that the object cannot be identified even after 3 years of analysis, 2) That it appears in the North and 3) that they cannot even tell how close or far away it is.
Job tells us that God will return from the North and I can't help but think of the New Jerusalem.
Is it possible? The truth is out there.
"I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of
heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for
her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne
saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live
with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be
with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from
their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying
or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He
who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything
new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are

Reuters reported today, that according to the WHO, TB now
infects A Third Of World Population. 7.96 million new cases
of the disease were reported in 1997 alone -- 1.87 million
died. The study, published in this week's Journal of the
American Medical Association, estimated that in the 212
countries monitored by WHO, 1.86 billion people, or 32 percent
of the global population, now carry the bacterium that causes
the disease. In the eastern Mediterranean, the infection rate
was listed at 29 percent, followed by 18 percent in the
Americas and 15 percent in Europe.

Over the last couple of days there have been diverse and/or strong quakes around the world. On
Thu Aug 12,1999, a strong earthquake rocked parts of central Indonesia. It was a magnitude 6
earthquake struck centered beneath the Maluku Sea, about 200 miles east of the Central Sulawesi capital
of Palu, said Rasyid, an official of the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in Jakarta. On
Wed Aug 11,1999 a series of earthquakes and aftershocks jolted large parts of the Mideast and western
Mediterranean islands, including Iran and Cyprus, where quakes with preliminary magnitudes of 4.2 and
5.8 were reported. Also on Wed Aug 11,1999 a moderate earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2
shook Tokyo and the port city of Yokohama.

Prophetic Significance:
Isaiah 17:1 points out that, sometime in the future, Damascus will be totally destroyed. We know it
has to be future since it has not happened to date. And it is well known that if Israel is backed
into a corner, they will order preemptive strikes utilizing whatever technology they deem
appropriate, including nuclear arms. If Syria and Israel do have a military confrontation, will
Syria's military alliance with Russia be the ``hook in the jaw'' mentioned in Ezekiel 38 that
draws Russia into its end-times invasion of Israel?
Keep your focus on God, but watch Israel.
The Ezekiel 38 invasion of Israel may be very close and in concert with it may be the destruction of America. America is over ripe for judgement. If America fails to help Israel when the invasion occurs we will be most likly be judged based on Genesis 12:3.

Astronomical Researchers at a conference on Tuesday in Washington divulged that there are up to 1,000 asteroids large enough and close enough to pose a potential risk to Earth. New data
suggests there are 500 to 1,000 nearby asteroids big enough to cause planet-wide damage if they collided with the Earth.
David Rabinowitz of the JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) said there are probably 2,000 to 4,000 asteroids of about one-third of a mile in diameter that cross the orbital path of the Earth. These would be big enough to cause extensive regional damage if they hit the Earth.

Arutz-7 Radio reported that "Israel's newest submarine - the Dolphin
- will arrive in Israel today. The German-built Dolphin is the
first of three similar submarines to be accepted by the Navy over
the course of the coming year. Cost per sub: $300 million. Foreign
experts say the submarine could be outfitted to give Israel a
second-strike nuclear capability, helping Israel retaliate against
nuclear attacks on the mainland..."
Prophetic Significance:
Israel's first strike nuclear capability is the only thing that has kept
Israel safe from its hostile neighbors. However, giving back land
in exchange for peace has compromised their ability to react to an
invasion. Syria is taking a hard-line in peace negotiations and
demanding the return of all the Golan heights. If this would
occur, Israel would not have sufficient warning to react to a
sudden and swift attack. Obviously, these submarines would give
Israel a second strike nuclear deterrent. However, the timing of
the submarines deployment with the relinquishment of the Golan
heights may be the "hook in the jaw" for Israel's enemies to attack.
The Ezekiel 38 invasion is described a a massive attack designed to
destroy Israel once and for all. Such an attack would not have the
ability to eliminate a Israeli nuclear response if the new subs
were deployed. This invites an attack before Israel can deploy its

After Barak's return from Washington, it has been reported that Barak is ready to make major
concessions in the peace process, but not in the face of terror or threats to Israeli security.
Barak is dismayed with the continued threats of Hezbollah terror attacks and the ongoing conflict in
Southern Lebanon. He has intimated that this will be a stumbling block in further peace negotiations
with Syria. He also indicated that Israel will defend its northern border by all means
Again we hear the echo of "peace and safety" being the hallmark of any peace agreement
negotiated with Israel. There have been many peace agreements since Oslo. Will one of these
form the basis of the confirmation of the agreement (covenent) mentioned in Daniel 9:27?
King Abdullah of Jordan and Syrian president Hafez al-Assad concluded talks in Damascus on
Monday on how to revive the Syrian-Israeli peace talks which broke off in early 1996. Although
relationships with Syria continue to be strained, the U.S. continues to exert influence in bringing
Syria into the peace fold. U.S. President Bill Clinton is urging Syrian President Hafez Assad to
"seize the moment of opportunity" for peace offered by Ehud Barak's election as prime minister.
Clinton has briefed Assad on his meetings with Barak in last week and a senior administration
official said, "The president told him there is a real moment of opportunity to reach agreements on
all tracks and that we should all dedicate ourselves to that task. It was basically to urge him to
seize this moment of opportunity for peace. Senior sources estimate that the two sides will be
able to reach an agreement regarding an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon and the Golan
Heights within the 15-month timetable laid out by Prime Minister Ehud.
Turkey, an important regional power, is continuing to move toward the Arab world. President
Suleyman Demirel visited Eygypt with hopes increasing economic cooperation and to
consolidate already close political ties with Cairo. King Abdullah of Jordan said during a visit to
Amman by Demirel two weeks ago that Turkey should play an important role in middle eastern
peace making: ``Changes in the region dictate that our relations with Turkey assume a
strategic dimension which we hope will set an example for Arab-Turkish ties,''
Turkey's move away from the West is important. Intelligence
Digest pointed out: "Israel signed a military pact with Turkey in early 1996, we have argued
that Syria cannot possibly go to war with Israel until Turkey is neutralized."
Barak says he is committed to fulfilling its obligations under international agreements, including
Wye River, but expressed concerns about certain aspects of the Wye agreement. Barak
continues making "final status" talks on Jerusalem a priority and to that end has promised that no
new settlements would be established.
From the beginning the status of Jerusalem has been the troublesome stone that Zechariah spoke
of. "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they
shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make
Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in
pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it" (Zec 12:2-3).
Even the revived Roman Empire, the European Union, is getting into the act by asserting their
intentions of maintaining an all-out effort for moving the Middle East peace process forward. On
July 27th, during a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy, the EU envoy called for
reviving the Middle East peace process and reiterated the EU's backing for pushing the peace
negotiations forward.
Prophetic Significance:
What I see in all of this is continues allignments that will precipitate the Ezekiel 38 invasion of
Israel, the "Covenant with Hell" spoken of in Isaiah 28 and Daniel 9:27 and the soon revealing of the
of the anti-christ. How long O'Lord?
ISA 28:15-18 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we
at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we
have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the

You may have heard of the Power Blackout in Taiwan -- the worst in their history. It did millions of dollars in damage and was blamed on a landslide. This may be true, but I thought I would share this a letter that was passed on from someone on the mailing list from someone who claims to have a son in Taiwan. There is no way to verify the information in this letter is accurate, but it does give one pause for thought.
Now why I am I passing this unverifiable letter along. So you will hopefully think about the possibility of a blackout in this country and pray about it. Recognize that in spite of the upbeat reports, that these reports are by and large unaudited self-reporting. Also recognize that the U.S. is gearing up for terrorist attacks that may co-incide with 1/1/2000. Now if a racoon or can knock out power to five states, you may want to consider that Y2K is in the middle of winter and at least buy an extra blanket or two, or not -- its up to you.

Reuters reported on July 30 that parts of Taiwan continued to suffer periodic brownouts on Friday as the state-run utility laboured to bring the island's electricity grid back up to full power after its worst blackout in history.
Taipower indicated that the outage may have been caused by the collapse of a high-pressure electricity tower in southern Taiwan due to a landslide, which triggered a chain reaction through the power grid.

I just received another frantic call from my son in Taiwan concerning the huge power outage that occurred there yesterday. He said he talked to an American friend (engineer) who works for Taiwan Power who told him that the problem Y2k related. He told my son that if he was smart he would get out as soon as possible. This information has ignited a fire under my son and daughter who are both anxious to come home. they are going to both divest themselves of all their investments over there and get out.
When I talked to my son today, he was shocked and panicked.
He finally gets it. My daughter said she was so scared when it happened that she just cried all night. The power company has told the people that this will be happening several more times in the next several months. They know they are [in trouble].
Prophetic Significance:
Revelation 13 and the Mark of the Beast - Something severe enough to cause nations to lay down their national sovereignty must occur for a world-wide government to be set up and the "mark-of-the-beast" program to be initiated. Is Y2K part of it? Perhaps and perhaps not. We shall see in less then five months.
08/02/1999 - ANTI-SEMITISM SPURS RUSSIAN ALIYAH
Statistics were announced by Sali Meridor, the new Chairman of the Jewish Agency: immigration from Russia rose 129% during 1999 -- an increase primarily attributable to the sharp increase of anti-Semitism in Russia and the recent rise in anti-Semitic statements made by Russian officials.
In the first six months of 1999, 12,188 Russian Jews came to Israel. The July 13th attack on the head of the Moscow Jewish Cultural Center and recent remarks made by Russian lawmakers -- all passing without formal condemnation by Russian state officials -- have contributed to this increased flow of new immigrants. Some 800,000 former Soviet Jews have moved to Israel since 1989.
Prophetic Significance:
Anti-Semitism is on the upswing. From the rise of Neo-Nazi violence in Germany where swastikas have been smeared on Dachau cemetary graves to anti-semitic thought in Italy. Even Neo-Nazi computer video games have surfaced (where you get points by baking Jews in ovens, making them into soft soap or dispatching them via airmail to Israel).
As we previously reported, the new openness in Russia will be short-lived. Soon the doors to Evangelism in Russia will close and persecution of both Christians and Jews will begin again.
Yeltzin passed legislation to restrict/curtail evangelism in Russia. The Word of God is very clear on this:
``However, the days are coming,'' declares the LORD, ``when men will no longer say, `As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' but they will say, `As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers. But now I will send for many fishermen,'' declares the LORD, ``and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks." (Jer 16:14-17)
We are told here that, in the latter days, God will recall the children of Israel back to their homeland. This prophesy is already being fulfilled. First the Jews will come home from the country of the north (Moscow is due north from Jerusalem) and then from the other countries of the world. Hundreds of thousands of Soviet Jews have come home from Russia. However, what is less known is that due to war, persecution and political unrest, they are also returning from other countries, as well. They are returning from Albania, Ethiopia, Poland, Holland, Tadjikistan, Uzbekhistan, Khazakhstan, U.S.A., Sarajevo, Yugoslavia and Syria.
God has sent in the fishermen (``I will make you fishers of men''). These are the evangelists that are there now. But after the ``fishermen", the ``hunters'' will come. Religious persecution will begin again.
As we grow closer to the return of Jesus Christ, the spirit of anti-Christ is sweeping the world, manifesting itself in every area of society, education, legal rulings, so-called art, and the media. It will continue to increase in intensity and rapidity, just as the birth pains Jesus told us about.
Jesus said that ``when these things begin to happen, look up for your redemption draweth nigh."
West Virginia, five neighboring states declared drought disaster
areas as the year-long drought shows no signs of letting up. The
heat wave has killed nearly 200 people in 20 eastern states and
officials say there is no substantial rainfall in sight.
Prophetic Significance:
Draught is a sign of judgement by a loving and merciful God who is looking for repentance before final judgement must fall. Remmember, God loves the world, but will only let sin go so far -- God once destroyed the whole world by flood, save eight, because of rampant sin.
God says, through the prophet Amos: "......you have not returned to me, declares the Lord. I also withheld rain from you when the harvest was still three months away.
I sent rain on one town, but withheld it from another. One field had rain; another had none and dried up. People staggered from town to town for water but did not get enough to drink, yet you have not returned to me, declares the Lord." (Amos 4:6-8)
North Korea's official news agency on Tuesday warned that there is "no guarantee for the safety of the U.S. mainland when the U.S. ignites a war against the north in the Korean peninsula." The threat came on the same day North Korea acknowledged for the first time that it is preparing to test a missile. U.S. military officials now believe that North Korea could, within the next few weeks, test a Taepodong 2 missile -- a powerful new rocket with a range of 3,800 to 6,000 miles that would put Alaska or Hawaii within its reach.
The Korean Central News Agency warned: "A war on the Korean peninsula is neither a war like a military drill of unilateral offensive as in Yugoslavia and Iraq nor a dispute like a simple conflict. A war here is a large thermo-nuclear war in which more than a thousand nuclear bombs with explosive power of 13,000 kilotons deployed in South Korea will go off and a world war which will soon escalate beyond the Korean peninsula."

GERMANY was on Ebola fever alert yesterday after a man returned from a trip to Africa bleeding through his eyes and ears.
Ebola, which is one of the most infectious and deadly viruses, killing up to 80 per cent of its victims, is virtually unkown in the West. The patient, identified only as 40-year-old German citizen returned from a business trip in the Ivory Coast at the weekend.
The whole of the Virchow Clinic quarantine unit has been cleared for Olaf U. Doctors and nurses are wearing airtight safety uniforms reminiscent of the film Outbreak, which depicted the dangers of a virus such as Ebola.
The hospital said the clinic would need two more days of laboratory tests to determine whether the illness - identified only as a "viral haemorrhagic fever" - was Ebola or the less dangerous but highly infectious Lassa fever.

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the
fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before
me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was
following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth
of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild

100,000 still powerless in meter
crisis. Thousands of London Electricity's
pre-paying customers have been left without hot water, light, or
cooked food for days, as a plan to save them from the millennium
bug goes "horribly wrong".
A London Electricity spokeswoman admitted: "It's all gone
horribly wrong in London, due to technical problems with a piece
of equipment which occurred at the weekend."
Around 400,000 customers have been told to change their Powerkeys
in order to keep their meters working when the new year begins.
Unfortunately, a problem with the new keys corrupts the meters in
25 per cent of cases and the customer is left without power.

Y2K related failures may be used to usher in Mark of the Beast technology.
More than 100 fires have blackened over 1 million acres in
Northern Nevada -- an area larger than Rhode Island. Bureau of
Land Management spokesman Bob Stewart said: "I've been here for

The Cassini Spacecraft -- Wormwood?
The NY times News Service recently reported that the Cassini spacecraft will approach earth on August 18, 1999. What is of interest, other than the 72 pounds of Plutonium on board

is that its trajectory is now projected to come within 725 miles of earth. This does not leave much room for error, especially if it is deflected somehow (perhaps by a CME - Coronal Mass ejection - from the sun now going to a period of instability and massive solar flair activity).
The NY Times New Service reported (Post Standard, 7/12/1999) that "the critics have feared that if the craft is slightly off course, and approaches earth much closer then the intended 725 miles, the atmospheric friction could cause it to burn up, spreading a potentially lethal plume of plutonium."
Note that Comet Lee is now projected to be closest to earth on Sept 9-11, 1999 - The night of the new moon and start of the traditional Rosh Ha'Shannah festival. See Joel -- another sign in the heaven.

By the way, on July 11, 1999 "The Nando Times" reported: "A spacecraft named Deep
Impact will fire a 1,100-pound copper bullet at the nucleus of a comet, blasting out a crater
the size of a football field and as deep as a seven-story building. The radical $240 million
mission, approved Wednesday by NASA administrators, may sound more like fiction than
science, but its primary purpose will be to study the makeup of comets. It's a coincidence
that the project has the same name as last summer's disaster movie Deep Impact," which
was about a comet smacking Earth, mission planners said Thursday..."

This was orig. reported on 10/14/1997, however, we are now approaching the August, 1999
fly-by.
In addition, there is also some preliminary data on Comet H1-Lee that has surfaced which
indicates that comet C1999 H1 (Lee) will take a high solar (northern) passage over the
Earth sometime in November (based on 6/7/99 estimates).
However, unlike other comets,
this one's orbit is highly unstable making accurate course projection difficult; especially if
C1999 H1 (Lee) is hit by a Coronal Mass Ejection during its perihelion passage. If you
have listened to the "Signs in the Heavens audio presentation on this web site, you would be aware of the fact that we are now entering Solar-max with a climax early in the year
2000.
The possibilies of some dramatic problems, outside of Biblical prophecy, is highly remote,
but given what we know will come upon the earth, these events merit our careful
consideration as we store up treasure for heaven.

The U.S. space agency is prepared for a Wednesday morning, October 15, 1997 launch of a
controversial nuclear-powered probe to the planet Saturn.
Although NASA and the U.S. Department of Energy indicate that the chances of a
radioactive release are minimal, protests are mounting. The concern is centered around
the generators' fuel supply, which will power the craft during its seven-year journey to
Saturn generators contain a total of 72 pounds of plutonium in a ceramic form,
shrouded in layers of metallic armor.
The odds of a radioactive release are said to be only 1 in 1,400 during the first three and a
half minutes after blastoff, and 1 in 476 during the rocket's climb to orbit. The odds of the spacecraft falling to Earth during an August 1999 speed-boosting fly-past of earth are put at 1 in a million.
However, opponents, such as Michio Kaku, a professor of theoretical physics at City
University of New York, indicate that nobody really knows what the dangers are. Kahu
stated: "I find that the NASA bureaucrats in some sense are living in fantasyland. Pure
guesswork has replaced rigorous physics. Many of these numbers are simply made up."

Prophetic Significance:
"The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the
sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water -- the name of the star is
Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that
had become bitter." (Rev 8:10-11)
In this account, we find the Apostle John describing a prophetic vision. (Rev 1:19) What he
sees, he describes as a blazing star which fell to the earth. The name of the star is
Wormwood. The result is that a third of the water "turned bitter" and "many people died,"
presumably from drinking the water.
Why did John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, feel compelled to tell us the name of
the star that fell? The Holy Spirit was giving us a clue to something that we would be able
to identify in our day, which probably made no sense to John. The Russian word
Chernobyl, translated into English, is Wormwood. Most of us are familiar with the
Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster that occurred in Russia about 10 years ago. It
contaminated hundreds of miles with radioactive fallout. The implication here is that fallout
could certainly be a dynamic of God's judgment upon the unregenerate world.
There are several possibilities.
1) A meteor or comet could slam into the earth, polluting the earth's water supplies. I'll
deal with the possibility of this happening in a later post.
2) The contamination could be the result of a nuclear exchange, such as the one indicated
in the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel.
3) But there is another possibility, however remote, that John saw the Cassini
Spacecraft crashing into the earth during its August 1999 fly-by. If this were to occur, the 72 pounds of highly radioactive plutonium could be dispersed over a wide area, turning the "waters bitter" due to radioactive contamination, and killing many.

3.5 MILLION NORTH KOREANS BELIEVED DEAD FROM FAMINE
The Associated Press reported that four years of famine in
North Korea have eased after killing up to 3.5 million people,
but the situation could worsen if outside aid is cut off.
The group also said that at least 300,000 North Korean are
living in hiding in China after crossing the border to search
for food.

The Washington Post reported: "A Navy report predicts 'probable' or 'likely'
failures in electrical and water systems for many cities because of the Year
2000 technology problem-an assessment more dire than any other made by
the government. President Clinton's top Y2K adviser, John Koskinen, called
the Navy's conclusions overly cautious, saying they assumed that major
utilities would fail unless proved otherwise. The most recent version of the
study predicted 'probable' or 'likely' partial failures in electric utilities that serve nearly 60 of roughly 400 Navy and Marine Corps facilities. The study predicted 'likely' partial electrical
failures, for example, at facilities in Orlando, Fla.; Gulfport, Miss.; Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; and nine other small- to mid-size cities. It also predicted
'probable' partial water system failures in Dallas; Nashville, Tenn.; Houston;
Baton Rouge, La.; Montgomery, Ala; Tulsa, Okla.; and 59 other cities. The
study forecast likely partial natural gas failures -- in the middle of winter -- in
Albany, N.Y.; Fort Worth, Texas; Pensacola, Fla.; Charleston, S.C.;
Columbus, Ohio; and Nashville..."

As reported in the New York Times today, astronomers have a
mystery on their hands, something they have observed and been
perplexed by for three years -- a point of light deep in the
northern sky that appears to be like nothing seen before. It
may be the first evidence of some unsuspected object with
reverberating theoretical implications. The mystery object
has so far confounded astronomers because they cannot decipher
the language of its light which usually allows object
determination within minutes. "I've never seen a spectrum
anything like this, and I take spectra for a living," said Dr.
S. George Djorgovski, an astronomer at the California
Institute of Technology who is the leader of the sky survey
that detected the mystery object.

According to Reuters News Service, a quake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit the San Francisco area on Tuesday (8/17/99) night but
there were no immediate reports of damage or injury, officials
said. This may have been a warning to repent before judgement, in

Syria, with the help of North Korea, has constructed a network of five tunnels throughout the country to
conceal its nuclear weapons program and its arsenal of ballistic missiles (SCUD-500 Kilometer range and
capable of being tipped with nonconventional warheads carrying Saran Nerve Gas), reported Steve Rodan,
editor of Middle East Newsline. The report also indicated that nine additional fortified tunnels were
underway so with the five already completed in aggregate all 1,000 missles in Syria's arsenal could be
protected from conventional Israeli attack.
