Israel Update and America at Risk?

11/11/2000, Vince Aquilino

While America has been distracted by the grid-locked election process, conditions in Israel have continued to deteriorate. The fighting is continuing, the killing is continuing, and the situation continues to be grave for Israel.

It is my personal belief, based on what I see as a watchman, that there are two possible scenarios that are most probable at this point in time (unless the circumstances change):

1) The Arab's will use this time of uncertainty in America to move militarily against Israel -- the long-awaited Ezekiel 38 invasion of Israel - an invasion that includes the use of nuclear weapons and which also includes, in my opinion, God's judgement on the United States of America. We know that for certain biblical prophecies to be fulfilled, that the United States must fade as a world power so that Europe may rise as the seat of anti-christ power in the revived roman empire.

or;

2) An incredibly wise and charismatic man will enter stage-left onto the stage of world affairs with a solution to the intractable peace process in the Middle East. This would be "the man of peace", the anti-chirst, although that will not be verified until he exaults himself above all that is called holy and declares himself to be god. The latter requires that the temple (or a least a "wilderness" tabernacle - a tent) be erected on the Temple Mount so the Jews can once again begin sacrifice). It is likely that the anti-christ's solution will involve access by all major religions to the temple mount.

Both events will occur, but the order is not yet clear.

However, I believe that scenario #1 is in the lead right now….especially considering what insiders are saying regarding the situation in Israel. In this first report, we hear from an unnamed high-ranking Israeli military source (a Bible-believing Jewish man) via a retired, born-again Air Force colonel, a born-again Christian.

According to this Israeli source, the Arab world sees the shattered U.S. election process as an opportunity and are drawing closer to attacking Israel. It should be noted that it was during the Watergate distraction in 1973 when the Arabs last attacked Israel. Ezekiel 38 bears that out as it appears that America makes only a diplomatic protest declaring, in essence, what are you doing? Have you come to take a spoil?

In the midst of everything else that is going on, Arafat is expected to declare an independent Palestinian state in the middle of next week, according to Taisir Kubahar, the deputy head of the PLO's Palestine National Council. He made the comment in an interview published today in a Jordanian newspaper. The council will announce the decision when it meets on November 15 in the Gaza Strip, he said. Yasser Arafat had earlier said that such a state will either be established when the council meets in mid-November, or in January at the latest. The PLO council decided to postpone the expected September 13 statehood declaration after many nations said they would not recognize such a state if declared outside of the Oslo accord framework.

Israeli analysts said that if the report is true, it would signal that Arafat apparently believes that the new Palestinian uprising has bought him sufficient support to unilaterally declare such a state. Israel has said it will take its own unilateral actions in response to any explosive Palestinian declaration which comes outside of the Oslo framework.

It is clear to this author, that Arafat wants to provoke an Israel response as the final move to galvanize world-wide opinion against Israel and justify a military response.

The Israeli military source said that Israel is expecting an Arab attack soon (while America is still in turmoil over the election), and he said there is no doubt in the Israeli intelligence community that this war will be nuclear at some point, probably by the third day. He also said (without explanation) that America will suffer greatly and Jews and Christians will both be in danger of persecution of a significant depth that will cause American Jews to literally "run for their lives" with Christians following in their footsteps.

If there is a nuclear hit on America as result of the Ezekiel 38th invasion, will it be the Jews that will be blamed? And when the Christians move to help the Jews, it will then be the Christians who are then persecuted.

If you think this is far fetched, think again:

"Then you shall say to them, 'Because your fathers have forsaken Me,' says the LORD; 'they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law. 'And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one walks according to the imagination of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me. 'Therefore I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.' "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "that it shall no more be said, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,' "but, 'The LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. "Behold, I will send for many fishermen," says the LORD, "and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. (Jer 16:11-16)

Over a million Jews have fled the land of the North (Russia - Moscow is exactly due north of Jerusalem) to Israel already and under Putin, the persecution of Jews is once again rearing it's ugly head. But God says that it not just from the north that he will recall the children of Israel, but "from all the lands where He had driven them.' For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers."

America has a huge Jewish population and they will someday, perhaps sooner than we think, be leaving America for Jerusalem. When this occurs, will you turn them in and risk the Genesis 12:3 curse of God, or will you give your life for them. Choose this day Whom you will serve.

This High-ranking Jewish source also indicated, and this is hard to believe, that the reason Barak has been so restrained with retaliation operations against the PLO is because NATO has threatened to bomb Israel if Israel moves any stronger against the Palestinians!!!! However, he said he doesn't think Israel can hold back much longer. One would say that this could not be, but in Zechariah is clear that "the whole world" is against Israel.

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. "And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. (Zech 12:2-3)

Today, Muslim foreign ministers approved a draft resolution calling on the 56-member Islamic Conference Organization to sever all ties with Israel for what they said were war crimes against Palestinians.

Delegates said the draft would be presented to leaders of the 56-member Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) at a three-day summit starting in Qatar Sunday.

Also Palestinian leader Yasser after meeting with President Clinton, took his demand for a 2,000-strong U.N. force to protect Palestinian civilians to the Security Council on Friday. The U.N. has already condemned Israel and has recognizedthe PLO which is why Arafat wants their involvement - to legitimize his claims to Jerusalem as the PLO capital.

It does appear as the entire world is turning against Israel just as Zechariah predicted.

This high-ranking Jewish source stressed that he could only share this from the best of intelligence and information that he has from reliable sources. He said he believes deeply in God and said twice that if he did not know that God was in control, he could not sleep at night.

From Jerusalem, we also have this report from David Dolan, a Jerusalem-based author and journalist, wrote on November 9th that "Israeli and Palestinian leaders are closely following the stunning electoral stalemate in the United States. Israeli leaders are particularly concerned that the knife-edge result might have negative repercussions for the turbulent region (see the personal note below). In light of the political stand-off, Israel's main newspapers report today that PM Ehud Barak-due to visit the White House on Sunday-may drop plans to ask President Clinton to come up with new "bridging proposals" to re-start Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. They said Barak assumes that the lame-duck Clinton might now be too busy dealing with the expected domestic political fallout to give much attention to the convoluted Mideast crisis. Also, the probable narrow election of George Bush to the presidency will render Democratic Party decisions virtually irrelevant. Yasser Arafat is visiting Washington today where he will meet with Clinton and other US officials.

I believe it is fairly evident today that the world's most powerful nation and Israel's closest ally, the United States of America, is entering a period of political uncertainty, and therefore instability, which will certainly weaken the country. This has enormous implications for Israel, and indeed for the entire world. Astonishingly, the new president will probably enter the White House with fewer overall nationwide votes than those garnered by his opponent. Depending on the outcome of the undecided Washington State race, the Senate will either be split right down the middle or have a mere one-vote Republican majority. The House of Representatives will just barely be in the Republican column. The presidential loser and his supporters, seemingly Al Gore, will feel extremely cheated, and legal challenges to the razor-thin outcome could go on for some time. This is a recipe for bitterness, mistrust and for unprecedented political stalemate. It is not only the new government's credibility that will be called into question. Public confidence has already been further eroded in America's competative electronic media, which prematurely called the race in Geroge Bush's favor.

The new president's desire and ability to weigh in heavily on the Arab-Israeli conflict will probably be relatively limited, to say the least. This should swing mediation efforts in the direction of Europe and the Untied Nations, which is exactly what Israel fears and the Palestinians want. Both Mideast antogonists percieve that the US is far more supportive of Israel than either the EU or the UN. Any political weakness in America is therefore dreaded in Israel, and welcomed by the Palestinians. Yasser Arafat may be making yet another pilgrimage to the While House today, but he will surely be inwardly rejoicing that he is now dealing with a lame-duck leader who will be a mere private citizen (if not on his way to jail) in two months time, to be followed in office by a relatively weak president.

I am not surprised by the dramatic US election stalemate. Indeed in Tuesday's headlines, I included an Israeli analyst's broadcast warning that such a draw could be the outcome of the vote. He worried that this result could "preoccupy the world's only superpower for months, thus tempting Israel's many enemies to go on the offensive." He might have been recalling that the last time Israel's Arab neighbors felt bold enough to launch a military attack was right in the middle of the Watergate crisis in 1973, when President Nixon was busy fending off growing demands for his resignation.

There is a reason why I included the Israeli analyst's warning in Tuesday's headlines . When I heard it, something stirred in my spirit. Taking the matter up in prayer, I felt the Lord was showing me that a political stalemate was indeed going to be the outcome of the US election, although I was not sure it would be a narrow Gore Electoral College victory and a Bush popular vote plurality, as the analyst assumed. As I wrote in my end-time novel, The End of Days, I have long believed that for certain biblical prophecies to be fulfilled, the United States must fade politically, at least to some degree, and the European Union and the UN must rise in power and influence. Israelis must also learn that their "guardian angel" is not America, but the Sovereign Lord of the Universe. As the Israeli analyst warned, any perceived US weakness will surely embolden Saddam and other Mideast tyrants, and that is obviously not good news for us here. Yet our hope does not ultimately lie in a strong America, but in the fact that He who watches over Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

At the end of the email from the retired Air Force colonel, he pondered if the events warned about occurred before the inauguration of a new President, if Clinton would declare martial law by one of the Executive Orders he has put in place, thus suspending the Constitution, and resulting in no new President of the United States.

This is an intriguing possibility. Years ago, and I no longer have the source or the prophecy, it was prophesied that Bill Clinton would be the last President of the United States.

As I pondered and prayed on this information, I also recalled the prophecies given through Jonathan Hansen. This man is a Prophet to the nations. He goes into a nation and prophesies to the president or leader -- specific things. Then when they come to pass, he has an opening to go into the country and preach the Gospel. His prophecies are specific and 100% accurate. In 1995, he received a series of visions and words for the United States. He has recently been released to share them. I will try to find out more for you, but in summary, he said that between 1998 and 2008, the events in the Book of Revelation will essentially be played out, that it is too late for America and judgement has been pronounced, that it will start with the crazy weather (which it has). Some of the specifics -- Mount Ranier in Washington State will explode, there will be a major earthquake on the West coast, the stockmarket will collapse, there will be rioting in the streets and in the midst of the turmoil the "Bear" (Russia) will launch on the United States.

The good news, if you will, was that if you are truly God's child (in action, not in word), God will give you an angel and you will be protected during the severe judgements on the United States.

As to the timing, it could be very soon, or if God gives us grace, perhaps we still have a little time, perhaps a few years, to bring in the harvest.

``It is now the hour to awake from sleep, for our salvation is closer than when we first accepted the faith.'' (Rom 13:11)

Purify yourselves daily by the reading of the Word. Jesus is returning for a Holy and Spotless Church. ``Today is the day of salvation for many who are perishing; their tomorrow shall not see my return in glory to judge the living and the dead. Today is the day of their salvation." Don't delay. Time is short. You have no guarantee that you will even see tomorrow. If you die without receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your eternal destiny is fixed.

As we see the signs of His return drawing close, what manner of holy life should we be living? Remember that Jesus is returning for a Holy and Spotless Bride. Whether His return is today or 10 years from now is irrelevant since eternity is only a heart beat away for any of us. So choose this day whom you will serve, ask the Holy Spirit to search you to see if there be any iniquity in you, and then call upon Jesus your Deliverer. He is faithful for forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unfaithfulness.

"Watch and pray, therefore, that you would be counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon the earth and be able to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36).

Maranatha and Blessings on you all as we all wait for the return of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
